Meet Charlie Lott, Vice President Central at Sasser Restoration

Sasser Restoration’s Texas headquarters opened one year ago in August of 2021. Since then, our teams have continued to grow and to offer responsiveness, service and quality to our clients from coast-to-coast.

Leading the way in Texas is Sasser Restoration’s Vice President-Central, Charlie Lott. With over 40 years of experience, Charlie is fully equipped with the knowledge and experience to lead Sasser Restoration’s Texas operations.

His career began right out of junior college where instead of transferring to a four-year school, he decided he wanted to work with his hands. He began to build things, frame houses and essentially, spent the first ten years of his career as a tradesman. For the next three decades, he has been out in the field serving in a variety of capacities from superintendent to project manager and director.

Over the course of his career, he has worked for companies ranging in size from small mom and pop companies to nationwide, industry leaders. He’s also earned a variety of certifications including IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration, IICRC Odor Control, Certified Distress Property Expert, Certified Aging in Place Specialist and more. By having a diversified experience background, Charlie is able to approach a situation from different angles and find the best solution for the customer.

To Charlie, the restoration industry is unique and offers rewards that you can’t find anywhere else in construction or the trades. The difference here is between need and want. In the general contractor world, Charlie explained how some projects were ego-driven, some were money-driven and very few, if any, were ever need-based driven.

The opposite is true in the restoration industry.

“What I really like about this is that I feel like we are really helping people. The projects are not ego or money-driven; they are driven out of necessity because someone is having an emergency,” he said.

Charlie and the rest of the team at Sasser Restoration have a unique opportunity to rescue people from their current situation. No matter if it’s from a fire, water damage after a hurricane, or structural damage after a devastating storm— Sasser Restoration is ready to respond.

Even after 40 years of working in the restoration and construction industry, Charlie sees that there is something different about working at Sasser.

“I think the partners and the upper management are accessible, open-minded and most of all, they want to do what is absolutely the right thing all the time— and that sets them apart. Decisions are always driven by doing the right thing and taking care of the customer,” he said.

Charlie and the Sasser Restoration team are making a difference in the lives of others through the work they are doing on a daily basis. It’s not ego-driven, it’s not money-driven, it’s people-driven, and that makes all the difference.

“I have a great deal of pride in what I do. The legacy I want to leave behind is more one of ‘that guy, he did quality work, got stuff done on time and he always did the right thing.’ That’s what I want my legacy to be.”
